A traditional Abruzzi ceremony, Cummar a fiur, sealed a bond between two people on St John’s Day, 24 June. A ritual sealed by the offering of flowers, it celebrated mutual affection and friendship. A name that symbolises union, for these two double rooms with a shared private bathroom. Although they are two adjoining rooms, each room has its own independent access.
